See You Again

2021 • 1 song, 3 min 21 sec

Composed during the first lockdown in spring 2020, ‘See You Again’ evokes the feeling of isolation and the difficulties inherent in being unable to meet in person. Not touching, feeling, kissing, hugging, a feeling of disarray reinforced by the distance (Mark Kelly lives in Vevey in Switzerland and his mother lives in Manchester, they only spoke virtually for months, unlike in previous years when he was able to stay in his hometown and meet his loved ones regularly). The song evokes the little moments of everyday life that seemed so trivial and natural and which took on a whole new dimension by their absence. Walking down the street and greeting passers-by, meeting people, having a coffee in a noisy and busy place. A cry from the heart to express the need and happiness of finally seeing each other again…

‘See You Again’ is the first single from Mark Kelly & The Peaceful Warriors, a project in which the Vevey-based English singer/guitarist plays alongside Robins Azonnoudo (Congas, djembe, bongos, drums, bell, shakers, vocals), Michaël Dervey (Calabash, drums, shakers), Léonard Persoz (Electric guitar, keyboard), Tony Leggett (Trombone, bugle, flutes, percussion, harp, vocals) and Marine Le Mouël (Double bass, vocals). The track is the first single from an album to be released in the first half of 2022.
